There are many environmental problems in the building industr y. These are often caused by shortcomings in building technology, poor material selection, chemical use, fragmented environmental solutions and high energy consumption while building, in the production of building material and in operation of the finished building. Studies by WHO show that 30 percent of all buildings raised after the Second World War are so-called sick buildings.
